1st Annual Tornado Golf Tournament

What a great day for a great cause. Over $1500 was raised for the community project, pool and other projects through the PED. We had 76 golfers enjoy a great day of golf at the Legend Trail Golf Course. We had two teams shoot awesome scores of 58, 14 under par on a very windy day. Results from the tournament can be found at the bottom of the page, right before all the pictures.
Legend Trail Golf, the All Golf Center and the players donated $15 of each players entry fee to the community project. In addition, mulligan tickets raised an additional $300 plus dollars. Thanks to Virgil Goodrich for helping organize this and collect the mulligan money. We also had a couple of teams donate their winning skins back into the pot. We appreciate everyone’s generosity.
Also special thanks to the “Renewal with remembrance” committee and all the work that they did to set up this event and all of the town’s events. (Say thanks to Valerie Thorne when you see her, she did a great job of keeping us all informed).
Steve Brass of Highway 57 Auto, donated $5 per winning flight and winning flag event to each player. Thanks Steve!!!
Though it was the anniversary of the tornado, we still must remember what this Holiday is for. Our follow heroes and those that have served their country. We recognized those veterans at our awards ceremony. Thank you to all of your that have served our great, great country.
We look forward to more tournaments like this one. Next year we hope to have a double shotgun and 36 teams.

Renewal with Remembrance

Hard to believe that is has been nearly one year since a tornado ripped through the town of Parkersburg and our neighbors of New Hartford. The following is a link for the schedule of events this coming weekend. The committee has been working hard at organizing many events to celebrate and remember what happened in 2008. We thank the committee and the volunteers for their hard work.

Couples Golf, Group Lessons starting

It is that time of the year. Hopefully most of the corn and beans are planted. Graduation is done. School is almost out and the weather is almost dependable. So here are some fun events that are being hosted at Legend Trail Golf and the All Golf Center.
Friday Couples will be starting this Friday. Just call the Legend Trail Golf shop to sign up or the sign up is in the tournament/golf league area by our office. You do not have to play each week. We will be changing the format each week. So get your spouse and have a little bit of fun with all the couples we will have.
Group Golf Lessons–you have been asking for this and it is now starting. We will have the first sessions at Legend Trail. We can handle up to 12 per group. These are designed as lessons for the beginner or those that need a refresher. Also we will have more general group lessons on Sunday evenings. Please call the All Golf Center to sign up for these (even though the first session will be at Legend Trail).

Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all you mother’s out there. Also to those that have passed, our thoughts, escpecially the HAPPY ONE’s, are with you and we miss you. May you have a great day being a mom and hopefully getting spoiled by your family members. Then once you grow tired of the kids laughing and giggling, send them to a golf course to get rid of some of that nervous energy.
But most of all, have a great Mother’s Day.
Legend Trail Men’s League

We have many of you signed up for the Legend Trail Men’s Golf League but we want more. So we have extended the deadline to next Sunday the 17th of May. We will still be able to do the pairings for the year by that Thursday so stop by and sign up. Reminder to those that were in the league last year–no cost to enter this year but you still must sign up. So see our staff for a sign up sheet or print one off the internet. Thanks.
