August 4 Person Best Shot Results

A great day of fun was had by all at the Legend Trail August 4 Person Best Shot held on Saturday, August 15th.  The golfers tee’d off at 9 am and were all done by 1 pm.  Now that it fast, fast golf, thanks for that.  Marc Reifenrath, Todd Thomas, Aaron Thomas and Josh Peters shot a fine round of 58 (14 under) to win this fun event.  After that it was a tight group of golfers as we had two flights.  Some of the golfers had so much fun that they played an emergency nine holes of golf.

We also had five skins out.  The Thompson/Groves team had three of those skins.   They had a total of three eagles!!!  Now that is some good golf.

Fall Season Pass at Legend and All Golf

picture1Legend Trail Golf and the All Golf Center are offering a joint FALL SEASON PASS, $99 for a single, $139 for a family.  Allows you to play and hit range balls from September 1st until the snow flies, unlimited amount of times at EITHER facility.   See the signage or this link LT Fall Season Pass-09 for more details.  Remember that with no trees we will have NO leaves for you to fight.  5 times and you break even on the single pass.

Otherwise both of these facilities are in great shape, as good as we have been.  So if you see John at Legend Trail thank him as he has helped keep both in great condition.  Ralph, Steve and Hoppy are doing a great job at the All Golf Center, thank them when you see them.

Legend Trail Men’s League tightens

The Legend Trail Men’s League race for first has tightened with only two weeks to go.  Virgil Goodrich and his host of sub’s (Stub Huisman and Mike Campbell have replaced Coach very well) have climbed into first place.  They are followed closely by Marc Reifenrath and Aaron Thomas.  But the Top 5 are separated by only 14 points with the two weeks remaining.  So everyone show up for the last two weeks and try to move up as much as you can.

Reminder that the winning team gets to play at Blue Top Ridge at the Riverside Casino against all the other Top Iowa Golf League teams.  So don’t forget to practice.
