New Menu at The Tap Room at Legend Trail

New Menu to begin January 1st, 2010. Most of the same old good items are on the menu still. We still endeavor to provide a quality breakfast for you all the time. We have added pizza to the menu along with a couple of other items. We will try to remain consistent on our daily lunch specials. In addition, we will try an occasional breakfast special. Terri likes her Waffles, so be on the lookout for “Waffle Wednesday” coming in January. Keep a look out on our home page, right hand column for the breakfast, lunch and dinner specials.
This is our Main Menu being served Monday – Saturday from 6 am to 1:30 pm. We do serve breakfast the whole time also for those that love breakfast at any time of the day, like Greg. We are also open Friday and Saturday from 5 pm to 8 pm. Come join us for fun.
We have had to raise our prices beginning January 1st, 2010. In order to maintain the quality of our food and our service we must match our vendors price increases. Most of the prices are up .25 to .5o an item. We will attempt to maintain our price increase only once a year. Could you tell our vendors to do the same?
We are serving PIZZA also now. This is good for dine in or carry out. So call ahead and you can pick one up.

Greg’s goal is to provide quality food and a reasonable price. We know some of you wish that we had other items on our menu. But we must remind you that we can not be all to everyone. We endeavor to do things really well until we somewhat perfect that item. We’d rather do 5 things well rather than 20 things so-so. So please grow with us as we expand and perfect our menu.
Remember that it is pretty hard to get The Other Place Italian pizza at McDonalds. There is a reason why. The OP does really good pizza and McDonald’s does a really good Big Mac.
Legend Trail Winter Pool League begins

Legend Trail’s Winter Pool league begins on January 14th. Sign up in the Pro Shop or call our staff. Two person teams that begin play at 6 pm on Thursday nights. Must be 21 years of age to play in this league. Come on out and have some fun with others. Terri and Greg are planning on playing most of these nights so we challenge you to play. Greg’s golf game is better than his pool game but this is just another sport that allows one to have a beer or adult beverage while playing.
Waverly Golf Christmas Hours and Legend Trail Party

Good morning everyone: a few things happening at both Legend Trail and Waverly Golf so do not, do not, do not confuse the two.
Waverly Golf News: we have Christmas Hours for you last minute shoppers (I’m one of those also). We will be open on Monday the 21st, Tuesday the 22nd and Wednesday the 23rd from 2 pm to 7 pm. We have many great deals-clothing is 40% to 70% off, wedges and putters are $60 off, Tervis Tumblers are 50% off and of course you can always purchase a gift certificate for that person that has everything.
Legend Trail Golf/The Tap Room: we are always open it seems. You may purchase your 2010 Season Golf Pass for the 2009 price at Legend Trail (don’t confuse yourself you Waverly Golfers) until 1/15/10.
We are having our second annual New Year’s Eve Party. Dinner (reservations required) from 6 pm to 8 pm – prime rib and a lot of other good items, similar to last year, call now to reserve your spot. Then we will have a dance, or drinking, from 9 pm to 1 am. This year we will have two champagne toasts. At 9 pm for those that can’t stay up until midnite and then again at midnite.
We will be closed Christmas Day. However, we will be open New Year’s Day for the bowl games and we will be serving food until 6:30 pm that day, with our new menu and special menu for those that want to eat while they watch their favorite team. For those of you that may not get CBS or Fox that day, we have 5 TV’s, so I am sure we can get one of those games you wish to watch on a TV. We will also be open late for all the other bowl games (throw our regular hours out the door on those day’s). So you Hawk and Cycloce Fan’s don’t fear, we will have your game on the TV.

The Tap Room and our New Years Eve Party

We are having our second annual New Year’s Eve Party on December 31st. We will serve a meal of varied items with the hi-lite being our prime rib. Reservations required. We will serve from 6 pm to 8 pm. We will have a dance from 9 am to 1 am for those hearty soles looking to bring in the New Year. This dance will again feature TONY DUNN. The donation will go towards the A-P High School Girls Basketball program. Something new this year we will celebrate two times on New Year’s Eve.
For those of your that want to celebrate but can’t stay up until midnight–we will be celebrating it at 9 am. For those that want to stay later we will do the usual midnight champagne toast and kiss. For those really really hearty people, come to both and double bubble yourself
Legend Trail Fall Pool Playoffs Begins

The Legend Trail Fall Pool League Playoffs began tonight with all teams playing at least one match. Some played two matches in this double elimination tournament. Because it was a long night we fed the troops pizza, wings and cheddar nuggets. The finals will be held on January 7th. The public is welcome to watch the fun banter and battles amongst our patrons.

Waverly Pro Shop Christmas Hours

We will open the Waverly Pro Shop for some Christmas Hours, like we always have each year. The hours will be Sunday, December 20th from Noon to 7 pm, Monday, December 21st from 3 pm to 7 pm, Tuesday, December 22nd from 3 pm to 7 pm and Wednesday, December 23rd from 3 pm to 7 pm. All other times by appointment. Greg is usually up there two times per week so call him and he will meet you there during those times. We have merchandise from 30% to 70% off, equipment at low, low prices. Plus anyone that shows up will receive a complimentary bottle of pop and candy bar while they shop.
Legend Trail Pool League Playoffs Start

The Playoffs start for our Fall Pool League on Thursday. Seeding has been set for our double elimination tourney. The first week we will, may, play more that one match as we try to get all the matches in that night. The race for overall was pretty tight from first to last place. So everything is up for grabs. We will provide hor’s d’veures for the participants that night with wings, cheddar nuggets and many other items. If you did not play pool this fall, sign up for our Winter league that starts January 14th. Think you have NO POOL game? Doesn’t matter, Terri and Greg don’t either and they may team up in January. They challenge all comers to get a piece of the “Mason’s” and challenge all other couple’s to sign up. If you think Terri laugh’s now wait until you see her play pool, have a couple of “Cap’n Morgan’s” in her and you will see someone laugh. So sign up with our staff now

Legend Trail Golf 2010 Season Pass Sale

We will have a 2010 Season Pass Sale for those wishing to purchase your 2010 golfing pass at Legend Trail. Virgil Goodrich has already purchased his 2010 pass at Legend Trail, thanks Virgil and Diane. We generally allow you to buy at this year’s price (2009-listed under our pricing on the website) as long as it is purchased before January 15th, 2010. The price will go up a little as our operating costs have increased from a year ago. You will get another break if you purchase before April 15th, 2010, then another price after that. In addition, John and his staff have really gotten our course in great shape from one year ago. As many of you have mentioned or noticed this that have played in the Spring versus late summer or fall.
So if you are looking for a great Christmas gift or just want to save some money, stop by and our staff will be glad to take care of you. We also have a few spot left in our cart shed for those that wish to buy a private cart and store it on premises. Only have 22 spots in the stalls, but would love to fill that up for 2010.
Legend Trail Golf reopened on Thursday. Waverly Hours

The Tap Room at Legend Trail Golf reopened for business on Thursday after the heavy snow storms hit our area. The parking lot is cleared off and ready for you to park your car, truck or school bus. A number of you have asked about hours at Waverly Golf Course. As in years past Greg will have some Winter Christmas hours coming up soon. Please check this website or the City of Waverly’s website for those hours. They are typically the week before Christmas. In the meantime you may call Greg at 319-230-4934 (has many requests on his phone so be patient as the messages come through) or call the Legend Trail Golf number at 319-346-1499. We should be able to handle those last minute Christmas requests you may have.
