UNI wins while Legend Trail cheers

What a great win for our UNI Panthers. They beat the #1 ranked team in the Nation. Now we hope that the UNI Women’s Basketball Team beats the #1 team they face on Sunday. We had a lot of fun UNI Panther fans that could not get to Okie City to watch. We listened to Rima on the radio, with a 10 second delay to keep the fans in front “informed” on what may happen. And they still cheered with lead chearleader “Dierks” leading the way. You had to be there to know who she was. She has skills and like the UNI Basketball team should not be underestimated.

Pool League playoffs start tonight. Come by and watch some good pool and the NCAA Basketball Games on TV. We are all hoping for the Panthers to have an extended run.

Good evening everyone: well it is amazing what a week to 10 days will do in Iowa–MELT A LOT OF SNOW!!! I knew it would melt just not this fast–wow.
As a reminder: we are having our member/customer appreciation open house tomorrow, Sunday, March 14th at from 3 pm to 5 pm. Everyone is welcome to stop by. We will have some goodies for you to eat for free. I will talk about 4 pm to give you some information on the upcoming season at our facilities – mainly at Legend Trail and will be free for any questions on the programs and the golf swing for those that have them. If you are a customer of ours, golfer or not, member at Legend Trail or not, come on out.
We have not set a date on when we will be open at any of our three facilities. We need to have the ground firm up a bit prior to opening. We will probably get the All Golf Center open pretty quickly, maybe even as soon as this week. We have mats to hit off of so our only issue is being able to pick the range balls up if it is too wet. But trust me we will open ASAP. I will send an e-mail out and also it will be on the website.
We are excited about 2010. Legend Trail is in great shape coming out the winter. We have added trees and will continue to make some additions to improve the playability of the golf course. The All Golf Center will have more activity as we try to chase back some of those golfers that left because of the flooding in 2008. Waverly Golf is going to be a lot of fun as the 2 new holes will be open sometime in mid to late May.
Should be a great year. So come join one of the facilities we manage or join all three.

Legend Trail Pool League Standings

The winter pool league concluded the regular season on Thursday. Now they will start their own version of March Madness–the playoffs to determine the post season champ. The prohibitive favorites, Josh and John, rode steady play to the regular season championship. The other teams are pretty even so should be some good pool over the next weeks.

Customer/member appreciation cocktail and FREE hors d’oeuvre
Sunday, March 14th from 3 pm to 5 pm
We are hoping that you will all be back from Spring Break and that our Panthers will be playing game #2 in the NCAA Tournament. We will go over some informational items regarding the upcoming season. Course rules and etiquette, programming and tournaments, a few golf tips and golf instructional items and of course good food and company as the season starts. More of an informal get together for you.
Plus selection Sunday will be on later that day and we hope our Panthers will get a good seed and somewhere close to play at in the first round.
