Just because it is snowing doesn’t mean we close at Legend Trail

We are still open at The Tap Room at Legend Trail Golf – Monday-Saturday from 6 am to 1:30 for breakfast and lunch. Friday and Saturday night from 5 pm to 8 pm. We also have the bar open until 7 pm Monday thru Wednesday and 9 pm Thursday thru Saturday. The Mason Family is taking a brief vacation so the 2008 Iowa Golf Course Superintendent of the Year, John Kofoot will show his skills at the grill and be our guest cook for the week. He can do more than just mow greens and make a golf course look great. Feel free to pick on him, he loves it. Since the Mason Family is gone we will be closed on Saturday, February 5th until 1:30 pm, sorry for the inconvenience. We will be back to our normal operations the next week.

Excerpts from Davis Love Press Conference on Ryder Cup

Here are some excerpts from the Davis Love III news conference from our Vice President of the PGA, Ted Bishop. He said that these will run in SI so enjoy before you get your SI magazine. Ted Bishop gave us some great commentary each and every day during the Ryder Cup in Wales this year, that I should have shared with your golf nuts. At our next Ryder Cup, in the US by the way, with DLIII as our Captain, I will share with all of you on this website, stay tuned. It was neat as Ted gave us behind the scenes views from his perspective on the team and the experience. We had a great week last week. We served the most people we had ever served on Saturday of 219 people. Yikes. Ending with the Sinclair Christmas Party on Saturday Night. Boy did they have some food, WOW!!!
We ended with a nice rush of season ticket holders. We have 69 going into to Spring with 10 of them new. Now our goal is to get the rest in new people. Remember we have those coupons in the letter you may use to attract someone to Legend Trail Golf. If you lost that coupon or need more, come see our staff we have plenty of them. For each new member you attract, we will give you past season ticket holders a $20 gift certificate to Legend Trail. So you better have them put both their name and YOUR name on the coupon so that YOU get the credit. Help us get to 100 people, THANKS.

Knuckle(head) Knight is tonight, matter of fact it is every Wednesday Night, from 5 pm to 7 pm. With the cash drawing at 7 pm, need not be present at the 7 pm drawing but it helps in case they decide to buy a round on “YOUR BEHALF”. Membership in Knuckle Knight is ahead of 2009 pace. Remember that the proceeds from our drawing and membership will go towards a charity at the end of 2011.

Many new members at Legend Trail for 2011

We had a great early season pass response for golf in 2011. We had 68 people sign up for a season pass in 2011. And of those we had 11 new season ticket holders. So now we need you to sign up new members to be at our facility. We know that it is hard this time of year to sign anyone up, ‘cuz there be snow on the ground. But you have the coupon for a new member, and if you do not have or have lost, see our staff, we have many behind our counter. This will give them a chance to play the course before they decide what to do. We have another option for those that cannot decide. Keep all your receipts, have them signed by our staff and you have until May 15th to redeem them against the price of a season pass at that time.
Are you a junior golfer? That means you are about to graduate from high school and YOUNGER. You pay $107 for the year. That allows you to have unlimited golf and unlimited driving range for 2011. So you better get grandma/grandpa or someone to buy that pass. What is better than to do but hit range balls and pay golf all summer? For $107 you can do that at Legend Trail.

Legend Trail Winter Pool League begins Thursday Jan 13th

Our Winter Pool League begins on Thursday, January 13th at 5:30. The fun these folks will have over the next 9 to 10 weeks can’t be missed. So if all you want to do is come watch the fun and fellowship, feel free to stop on by, they’d love to see you watch them hit many a great pool shot. Also don’t forget that the deadline for your early season purchase of your season pass ends this Saturday, January 15th, 2011. Don’t miss out on the early buy for your 2011 season golf pass, driving range pass & carts passes. Buy now and you will get the 2010 price. If you wait the price will go up a little bit. We do take VISA/MC for these passes so call us, send in a check or better yet stop on by, we’d love to see you. Plus we are still open for food at The Tap Room, Monday-Saturday from 6 am to 1:30 pm and Friday and Saturday Nights from 5 pm to 8 pm. The Tap Room is open until 7 pm Monday-Wednesday and until 9 pm on Thursday-Saturday. Happy hour is from 3 pm to 6 pm daily.

The Fall Pool League ended with its double elimination tournament. Chuck Krusey and Rod Spree won the regular season title and the tournament. Below you will find the results from the tournament and the overall standings with the payouts for all that participated. You can find the winnings, gift certificates, at the Pro Shop.
