Lifetime PGA Member Ed “Shoe” Schumann has always said, “so you want to be a PGA Golf Professional, play golf all day, drive fancy cars and wear nice clothes”, well tune into CBS for the PGA’s 95th Anniversary television special “Sunrise to Sunset – A PGA Professional’s Life,” this Sunday, May 1 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. ET on CBS and you will see a little of what we do. This does not do or say all what we do but if you aren’t on the golf course, which we would prefer, so TIVO, DVR, whatever you need to do so you can watch it sometime. Enjoy it.

It is all perspective, but it is all I can do to contain myself and not drive South to help in the clean up of the destruction from tornadoes. Cold, wind, bad start to SPRING GOLF in Iowa yet tornadoes hit the South. I remember being shut down all of 2008 and I feel for the people that are wondering “will life ever be normal”? Come to P’burg, Iowa and you will see that IT WILL BE NORMAL AGAIN. Life will be changed, but you will have a new normal. There are success stories. Is it hard? YES but it can be done. Parkersburg Chamber, Campbell-Mellema Insurance host Easter Egg Hunt at Legend Trail Golf

For the second year in a row, we got to show our tagline of “we are more than a golf course” as Legend Trail Golf played host to the Parkersburg Chamber sponsored by Campbell-Mellema Insurance. The Easter Egg Hunt was held on Saturday, the 22nd and boy did they have some fun. Over 6,000 eggs were place on the driving range for the kids to find. Thanks to those sponsors and we look forward to 2012.

Tornados are terrible, but like Parkersburg showed, human spirit can overcome

Looking at the pictures of all the tornado destruction in Iowa and the East/Southeast brings back many memories. But if one could look forward 3 years, like the town of Parkersburg, IA, you would see that YOU can overcome this tragedy and be better for it. You can OVERCOME anything and P’burg is testament to that. DO NOT underestimate the human spirit. So dig deep, hitch your pants up and get to work. Amnesty at Legend Trail Golf and All Golf Center

You have another chance to still pay for your 2011 Season Golf Pass at All Golf and Legend Trail Golf. Brent Krause, past National PGA Pro of Year suggested April 18, like our US Government did, but Taylor and I vetoed that by 2/3 majority(sorry BK) and DUE TO THE WEATHER IN IOWA have extended the 4/15 price to MAY 1st. So turn in your taxes by 4/18 and pay your Season Golf Pass at AGC or LT by May 1st and save as if it was 4/15. Bottom line-we want you at Legend Trail & All Golf. Break out your golf game.
