No worries Mate. You signed them up for swimming, VBS, soccer, basketball & football camp but you forgot about JUNIOR GOLF. Classes begin for the Juniors at Legend Trail Golf, 8, 9 & 10 am, June 1st. Shawv and I can adjust to anything so send the little one’s out to the RANGE, When you signed up the kids for all those activities – - you FOUND OUT THAT YOU WERE TOO OLD to participate in those activities, bummer – - but you forgot that you are never too old to participate in the Get Golf Ready Group Golf Lessons. This session begins June 1st also. Hey if you or the kiddo’s miss the first one, don’t worry we will catch you up. So don’t wait, get signed up NOW–Please.
3rd Annual Tornado Relief Tourney Results

Our 3rd Annual Renewal with Remembrance Tornado Relief Tourney was held on Monday, May 30th with 18 teams participating. A portion of their entry fee will go towards a community project. $1080 was raised for this cause. Thanks for all that played. We also had some young kids with a lemonade stand where the money they raised will be sent to help the tornado victims in Mapleton, Iowa. Isn’t Iowa great? Legend Trail Golf starts a busy week as JUNE arrives

Legend Trail ends May with a lot of events and begins June with many more. Junior Golf at Legend Trail begins Wednesday, June 1st be sure to go to Lessons, Junior Golf. Also under Lessons, GET GOLF READY has its second set of lessons beginning on June 1st. Might as well get started in golf as it is JUNE. Don’t wait until August to start playing.

Three years ago Parkersburg, Iowa was in a similar state of disrepair as Joplin, Missouri. Both have had EF-5 tornado’s rip their town in half. Parkersburg gives you a chance to look, with crystal clear 20-20 vision, into the future. IT CAN BE DONE. We can give you the vision, hope and empathy that not many others can give you. We can truly LOOK YOU IN THE EYE, tell you we have been there and better yet that you too can come out on the other side. A great community can become even greater. Iowa Golf, Waverly Golf and Small Town Golf won last night

Golf in Iowa won last night at the Iowa Golf Hall of Fame Ceremonies in Des Moines. Waverly Golf won with our Superintendent of 30 years, Doug Snook, being inducted into the Hall. Small town Iowa won last night and showed that great players can come from ANYWHERE. Iowa has many 9 hole facilities in our SMALL TOWNS. Sibley, Iowa produced an LPGA Tour Player, Barb (Thomas) Whitehead as she was inducted into the Hall. Mike McCoy, one of the best am’s in the state was also honored for his accomplishments. Waverly Golf Course to add its 2nd Member to Iowa Golf Hall of Fame

Waverly Golf Course will add its 2nd member to the Iowa Golf Hall of Fame when Doug Snook gets inducted as part of the 2011 Class. Steve Tyler was added in 2010 Class and Snooker will be added as part of the inductees in a ceremony on May 21st in Des Moines, Iowa. These two superintendents were part of the superintendents that assisted in the betterment of their association and the betterment of the courses that they maintained. We are glad to be a part of their lives as PGA Golf Professionals. Congrats to Snooker as he TRULY looked after his REGULAR GOLFERS FIRST and his association second. Thanks for your contributions to golf in Waverly and the State of Iowa, well deserved Snooker. Glad that I have had the opportunity to work with you the past 5 seasons in your 30 YEARS of SERVICE to the WAVERLY MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE.

15th Annual Golf Headquarters Demo Day, Friday, May 20th at All Golf Center

Waterloo Golf Headquarters, Mike Schuchmann/Owner and his staff will have their 15th Annual Demo Day on Friday, May 20th at the All Golf Center in Waterloo. This fun-filled event will run from 3 pm to 8 pm and feature over 15 golf vendors. FREE Beer, until it is gone, will help you loosen up as you try the many golf clubs on display. PGA Pro/Owner of the All Golf Center Greg Mason will be having drawings for FREE golf, food and range balls along with giving FREE 10 minute lessons for those that need help.
