We want everyone to have a great New Year’s Eve Party. We are all in the business to make money off of people celebrating the change of another YEAR. However, please, if you have a bit too much “apple juice”, find someone else to drive as it will alter you life for awhile…so have someone drive you home, call a cab, WALK(dress warm in certain areas of the world–no shorts, LOL), do anything you must to enjoy another year but get home SAFE. Oh, yeah a couple of forgotten words in our techno world…PLEASE and THANK YOU. See you tomorrow at Legend Trail as it is the one time of the year we are open from 6 am (New Year’s Eve Day) until 1 am (New Year’s Eve Day).

The Tap Room at Legend Trail in Parkersburg, Iowa is open for both the Iowa State Cyclones (2:20pm start) and Iowa Hawks (9pm start) on Friday. Happy Hour pricing is in EFFECT so stop on by and watch these two football teams battle for their bowl wins. Come on Hawk Fans, Coach K and staff always do a great job of preparing their team. Coach Rhodes has done a great job at ISU with his passion. So stop on by for breakfast, then lunch, then dinner then watch the game on one of our 5 TV’s. Go PANTHERS.
New Year’s Eve Party at Legend Trail Golf, Parkersburg, Iowa

Thursday at NOON is the final day to sign up for that Prime Rib dinner on Saturday for our 4th Annual New Year’s Eve Party. Now if you get a whim and just want to come out to eat, that is OKAY, we will have regular dinner service from 5 pm to 8 pm off of our regular menu. Or if you want to bring the kids and YOU have the Prime, call us to let us know about the prime reservation. WE encourage the kids to come on out and enjoy the night. IF you have other dinner plans, feel free to stop by as Tony Dunn, THE DJ, will do his thing from 9 pm to 1 am with music for the dance. Two toasts that night-9 pm and midnight, come to one OR BOTH.

We had a fun day today, a lot of late arrivals for lunch, as they must have been out exchanging the gifts because their New Year’s Resolution will start next week, so they exchanged that XXL shirt for that Medium shirt they will fit into in 90 days. To help you with that stop by Legend Trail tomorrow, have our world famous Veggie Beef Soup and buy a dozen ProV’s for $8 off normal price. Go home take a nap and come back and see Jay for Knuckle Knight. Remember to have Rum and Diet Coke, it has NO CALORIES (Ken Appleby told me that in 1988 at Beaver Hills CC when I was a young assistant, still believe him today). Don’t forget to call for the New Years Eve Party and KIDS are invited and welcomed.

We are still open during this week of vacation for the kids from school. We will be open from 6 am to 1:30 pm, Tuesday-Saturday, plus we will be open Friday & Saturday from 5 pm to 8 pm. If any of our FB friends are in the area, stop on out as you are only 15 minutes from the UNI-Dome on highway 57 and 14. Have a great week and re-charge those batteries for school.

G3 Golf (Waverly Golf, Legend Trail Golf & All Golf Center) wish everyone a great and Merry Christmas. Please be safe in your travels to and from family. We also thank everyone that showed up to eat today, WOW!!! Serving 219 people all to order was a blast. Good thing that Taylor was a pretty good Cross Country Runner(6th and 4th place at state in his younger years). Terri’s only 5′ so her little legs were running around as fast as she could, maybe next time we will get her rollerblades. Steph and her dad were in the back rocking out to the songs as we cooked and cleaned to keep up. Wish we had days like that everyday as we would add more staff to help keep up. THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE and see you next week.
Legend Trail crowns Fall Pool League Champs and last pro shop day at Waverly Golf

Legend Trail Golf at Parkersburg, Iowa crowned its Fall Pool League Champs tonight. Josh Eastman and Jeff Smith defeated Jay Anderson and Tim Schnell in the finals to win the 2011 Fall League Championship. The defending Champs of Chuck Krusey and Rod Spree battled back through the losers bracket to finish in 3rd place. Fun was had by all and we look forward to a fun Winter Pool League starting January 12th. Waverly Pro Shop will close for the 2011 Season on Friday. Final day hours are form noon-6:30. Mentors include Ed Schumann & Norm Luttinen, PGA, both Iowa Section. Isn’t being a PGA Pro great with the “family tree”? And the people in the world wonder why GOLF is such a great game BEYOND the golf course. Life experiences, mentoring, networking, lifelong friendships and I bet our National PGA President will comment on that lifelong friendship comment as he has preached it for awhile. Even if you don’t with to be a PGA pro, Golf is the sport for ALL connections in life. Washington DC could solve a lot of issues if they just settled it on the golf course, even if it is a mini golf course.

The Tap Room at Legend Trail is open this week as school’s begin to close. We will be open until 1:30 pm on Christmas Eve for food service, then close until Monday, the 26th so our families may enjoy their families. Waverly Golf Course has Pro Shop Hours this week from 3 pm to 6:30 pm Mon-Thurs and Friday from noon-6:30pm. Shoes as low as $50 a pair, $5 off dozen golf balls, ALL DEMO clubs on sale, Sportswear 70% OFF, but only this week….
