What an awesome week for golf. Masters starts TOMORROW or today depending on when you wake up. Legend Trail will be open from 10 am to 1:30 pm SUNDAY for food. And if you didn’t know, its Masters Week. Did you know Zach Johnson from Cedar Rapids is a past champ? Plus US Open Champ, Mr. Fleck played the par 3 today…

Iowa Golf Course Superintendents & Iowa Section of PGA join forces…LOL

That is right, the Iowa Golf Course Superintendents represented by 2008 Golf Course Superintendent of the Year John Kofoot and Iowa Section of the PGA represented by 2008 Pro of the Year Greg Mason will be in the back of the house serving breakfast to all the patrons at Legend Trail Golf in Parkersburg, Iowa. Steph is gone so John is graciously filling in for her. Not many super’s will do that or have the skill set to help. SO if you wish to see a Super and a Pro work together, come have a bite to eat.

Joe Hawkins, 1994 Iowa Section Teacher of the Year has a Spring Golf Lesson Special, $35 gets you a lesson and a FREE bucket of range balls to be used later to enhance all you learned from Hawk…Spring_Tune_Up-12. one would think. I now know why Snook has a HUGE SLICE. The whole course slopes left to right downhill and every hole goes from left to right, except for the Par 3′s, those you have to hit straight. But you must be able to chip and putt, which he can do. Fun was had by all and I hope our PGA Pros enjoyed the day and will tell people to find the correct tee. That may mean you play the blues one hole, reds the next hole then the golds the next hole. Just be smart, look at the yardage, the terrain and MORE IMPORTANTLY the FUN factor on that hole.

Dear God, just as a reminder, Daylight savings has started so rain at 6 pm, not so good, 7 pm, better as we had people still playing and hitting golf balls. If questions please see Pastor Dick & Sharon up there (Pastor is playing golf and Sharon is doing counted cross stitch) as they will advise you that golf is important to the Mason Family. Timely rains are appreciated, the great weather you have given lately really appreciated. So much so that All Golf Center in Waterloo will open its doors at 11 am, Tuesday, more info to follow if you are interested in a season pass. Thanks God, from Mase, please call for a tee time.

Life is good. 75 degrees in Iowa, Panthers beat St. Joes in the NIT. How good is that and the weather is supposed to get to 80 on Thursday. Golf, NCAA, might as well call in sick. You will feel bad tomorrow if you don’t play golf so there is your sickness excuse. Tee times at Waverly Golf, first come first served at Legend Trail. FYI-forgot, Hawks beat Dayton in NIT and Cyclones are in the NCAA. Go Bluejays.
