The 2012 PGA Merchandise Show has just ended. In the 20 years I have attended I saw excitement for the great game of golf. Golf2.0 is right on as the golf industry gets re-engaged to grow our great game. The PGA Merchandise Show is a great place to network and get re-invogorated about golf. We had 3 couples from our facilities attend and they saw first hand the relationships golf has and will build to grow our game again. I enjoy this time spending time with my fellow PGA Pros. People like Lou Guzzi inspire me to want to get better. Many more were in attendance and what a great time we had. But we need your help. Play more golf, drag a friend out to play, anything you can do to help we would appreciate. Thanks for being a golfer but we need you to fine 10 more golfers so they will find 10 more golfers and they will find 10 more golfers and………..

Monday is the final day to save on your 2012 Season Golf Pass. With all the coupons and other specials we have THE BEST DEAL that ANYONE will get will be done Monday. Snow finally hit us, so let’s talk golf, give us a thought or 3. 3 types of golfers so help us in our informal survey. Why have you quit playing golf? Why have you NEVER played golf? OR Why don’t you play more golf? Many reasons, money, time, availability, family commitments, hunt, fish, course is too long, too many trees, have a hangnail, played in the NY Philharmonic so much practice time, let us know we’d love to here. FYI-save on your season pass at Legend Trail but you only have until Monday and we do accept passes that are mailed in.

All the bumper stickers in the world I saw today, we will see who responds to this post…Great to be a Hawkeye(sorry Dr. Tom, Hayden, McCarty, Wernie, TA), good to be a Cyclone(Horty, Gibb, Webb, Hoiberg, TA) but BETTER to be a PANTHER(Coach Mac, Chico, Dieken, March. AKoch, JKoch, Sonnen, James, Moran, Tuttle, Pehl, Martino, Morrison) just to name a few as the Panther BBALL team claims mythical bball championship AGAIN. I LOVE THIS TEAM as on press row would say.
Legend Trail in Parkersburg, Iowa still open for golf

That’s right and we had over 50 rounds of golf on our little 9 hole golf course. 59 degrees for a record high temps, 1956 it was 54 for the old record. Supposed to be 48 tomorrow so you might as well come out, buy your 2012 season golf pass and play some golf. Now only 83 more days until April 1st, 82 if it wasn’t a leap year. But those that were born on 29th of Feb finally get to celebrate another birthday. See you tomorrow at the golf course.
Election Year and WE vote for more weather like this

G3 Golf in Parkersburg, Iowa says it is an election year with Iowa Caucuses happening tonight and we say “We vote for more weather like this”. This kind of weather certainly helps the economy for all kinds of reasons. Only 13 more days to SAVE on your 2012 golf pass, driving range pass and trail fee pass. It’s the start of a NEW Knuckle Knight year, so a new membership of $5 must be paid next time you stop in to see Jay on Wednesday. We will donate over $500 again to a worthy charity from our Knuckle Knight crowd. I wonder if we could give over $1000 to a worthy cause in 2012? See you at Legend Trail.

The Tap Room will be open on Monday for food service from 6a-1:30p. It is Margarita Monday and the bar will be open until 7 pm, so stop by and have one with Jay. Panther Basketball on Sunday at 8 pm, still time to go get a ticket.

We want everyone to have a great New Year’s Eve Party. We are all in the business to make money off of people celebrating the change of another YEAR. However, please, if you have a bit too much “apple juice”, find someone else to drive as it will alter you life for awhile…so have someone drive you home, call a cab, WALK(dress warm in certain areas of the world–no shorts, LOL), do anything you must to enjoy another year but get home SAFE. Oh, yeah a couple of forgotten words in our techno world…PLEASE and THANK YOU. See you tomorrow at Legend Trail as it is the one time of the year we are open from 6 am (New Year’s Eve Day) until 1 am (New Year’s Eve Day).
New Year’s Eve Party at Legend Trail Golf, Parkersburg, Iowa

Thursday at NOON is the final day to sign up for that Prime Rib dinner on Saturday for our 4th Annual New Year’s Eve Party. Now if you get a whim and just want to come out to eat, that is OKAY, we will have regular dinner service from 5 pm to 8 pm off of our regular menu. Or if you want to bring the kids and YOU have the Prime, call us to let us know about the prime reservation. WE encourage the kids to come on out and enjoy the night. IF you have other dinner plans, feel free to stop by as Tony Dunn, THE DJ, will do his thing from 9 pm to 1 am with music for the dance. Two toasts that night-9 pm and midnight, come to one OR BOTH.
