Waverly Tree Fund
We are looking for people that wish to donate towards the replacement of the Norway Spruce that was damaged, and later died, from a lightening strike in 2008 by #10 Green. We hope to raise $1000 to replace this tree with something similar. Any extra monies will be donated to the replacement of trees on the new holes and on the old holes. This is the tree that is on the logo of the Waverly Golf Course.
Anyone interested should contact Greg at the Pro Shop in Waverly. Checks can be written to the Waverly Golf Course TREE FUND. Any amount is welcome. And if anyone wishes to donate the whole amount, we’d probably name it after them. Similar to the Eisenhower Tree on Hole #17 at Augusta National Golf.
As a way to kick off the donations and need for this tree, Peg, Greg, Gary and Grant Mason will donate the first $100 towards this tree in memory of their parents.
ONLY $900 to go, so get with it and be a part of the restoration of the trees that make Waverly such a great golf course.
